Café de la Paix

Café de la Paix is a historic establishment located at Place de l'Opera, offering a luxurious dining experience with views of the opera house. The café, which opened in 1862, has been meticulously restored to its original Napoleon III decor. It has become an integral part of Paris's artistic scene and offers a menu featuring French dishes such as foie gras, tartare, sole, and onion soup au gratin prepared by Chef Laurent Andre.

The Café de la Paix, a landmark of the Grands Boulevards on Place de l’Opéra, has been fully restored to the greatness of its famous Napoleon III decor. Since its opening in 1862, along with the Grand Hôtel, this institution has grown to take a central place in the artistic life of Paris. There, you can get foie gras, tartare, sole and soup au gratin with onions, all expertly revisited by Chef Laurent André (who has worked at the Louis XV in Monaco, the Grande Cascade in Paris, Spoon Food & Wine in London and Hong Kong and the Royal Monceau-Raffles in Paris), but the oysters, shellfish and crustaceans from the Banc de l’Écailler are also well worth the detour.
